GHK is saddened to hear that former player Colin ‘Shuggy’ Whyte has died.
Colin left Kelvinside Academy in 1977 and played for Kelvinside Academicals until the amalgamation with Glasgow High to form GHK. Colin played several seasons in the back row for GHK’s 1st XV where he was a strong, combative presence and a very fine team mate and club man.
Colin was also an accomplished Sevens player who contributed more than most to the GHK team that won the Bearsden Sevens back in the day. He will be missed.
