GHK v Stewart’s Melville Saturday 6th October
GHK are very much looking forward to renewing our playing acquaintances with Stew Mel to recommence a rivalry that goes back over a hundred years in various guises. Building on the tremendous success of our Ladies Day that heralded the start of the season, we are, once again, hosting events designed to suit everyone,
Pre Match  Lunch
We are delighted that former Scotland internationalist Gordon Bulloch and captain of The British and Irish Lions Finlay Calder will both take part in a post-lunch Q and A session at our past players, sponsors and supporters lunch on Saturday 6th October.
We will be presenting a cheque for £4000 to Gordon for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, raised from the auction at our annual dinner. Gordon is a trustee of the foundation and has done his bit for the charity by climbing the equivalent of Everest by running up Dumgoyne 24 times in 72 hours!
Fin is also a trustee of the foundation as well as Chairman of Stew Mel and a passionate proponent of club rugby in Scotland. Fin,  of course, played 34 times for Scotland and led The British Lions to victory over Australia in 1989.
There will also be a further ‘ special guest of honour’ in the shape of The Calcutta Cup!
We look forward to seeing as many past players as possible at this special lunch.
